Your body returns to dust. The soul enters the part of the life cycle in the astral. If refinement is needed, you go back. If not you have more options. If the death is unnatural it throws the balance of the cycle. If you look at the most common reports of ghosts they are seen in low vibrationary states. This is because the astral realm at its lowest points actually blends into the higher vibrations of this thick 3rd density. That is why ascension and higher spiritual vibration is needed for spiritual contact, and also why we see more negative hauntings than positive. It is next to impossible for a human to reach the highest points of the astral, this is called Nirvana, but it is rather easy to contact negative spirits as they are literally closer to us. Your soul is the sum of all your lives' experiences. Your true personality that cannot hide behind flesh.

See this is why I love the fictional spirituality of Buddhism compared to the fiction of christianity. At least the spiritual buddhist is concerned with this life and making the best of it because nirvana is the goal. The christian does not give a fuck about what he or she does accept the weird jesus ritual eat the body and drink the blood. You must understand you have yourself convinced and maybe some others are convinced of this spiritual astral plane malarkey but the bottom line is there is not a shred of evidence for this. As for ghosts and haunting please show me where in a mainstream buddhist text it talks about ghosts. People in america up until pretty recently believed in witchcraft and burned women at the steak, this type if foolishness was a common place as ghost stories are today. That is just one example of people believing superstition. I also like your prediction that science will figure out what you already know and take credit for it. Please justify that one.

Never claimed I know it all. There is a ton of shit I don't know, and that shit I don't spout an opinion about. I've done my homework and my research in this area so I will speak my mind about it, whether you agree or not. If you keep current on scientific "breakthroughs" you will find the same information in ancient lore and myth. Prove to me the astral doesn't exist. I never said much about Buddhists, but they understand the meaning of life and the cycles much better than most religions.

There is tons of evidence to support the paranormal. I have my own evidence, and have seen and experienced much. I have followed science and other researchers work closely, as I actually am a serious parapsychologist.

World leaders are very religious. Is it because they are a bunch of retards who are into a bunch of malarkey as you put?

Atheists have a god, it is money. Is that a god you want your kids worshipping and killing for? Sounds pretty extremist to me.

Exactly. Too many people do this. Its called blind faith and it is stupid and dangerous on many levels. Like all decisions, faith should be looked into before anyone joins a church or adheres to any "rules" to live by. We are decent people, but our blind faith in gods (for the atheist, money) has made us a bunch of dicks. It is true that it is not what you believe but how you act/live life that really matters.

People that run america believe in witchcraft. With all current trends can you say with confidence that people in society will not be singled out without due process, tortured for their beliefs or confessions of guilt, and publicly executed? And it started in Europe and it killed thousands of men, children, women, and seniors. Long life was often associated with devilish deals. The whole point was to make people fear and avoid anything associated with the spiritual. Burnings at the stake were simply fear inspiring events and examples for the public to keep them away from any types of spiritual knowledge or truth. A method for society to fall in line.

My god is money? I am an atheist and the exact opposite is true, you are making assumptions now. I also never used the word retard to describe anyone, don't put words into my post, I said malarkey. I also do not need to disprove anything spiritual or supernatural. I have said this many times, the burden of proof is on the person making the ridiculous claim. So show me some proof of the paranormal, or maybe the paranormal is just a neat word for the unexplained of which there is plenty of.

Most atheists worship money as it is the higher power they see necessary for life on earth. Not all are bad, but it puts them in the same boat. Like I said money is just as bad as any religion. At least the worship of it can be. Since you are atheist please explain your belief system to me. I don't make wild assumptions. I check my shit before I speak. In most conversations with atheists they all revert to money as a purpose. It is what they find happiness from. Most were quick to kill if the price is right, as their beliefs allow them to justify murder for cash. If you are in fact the opposite, like I said, explain because this is very intersting. I myself have not encountered an atheist who is the exact opposite. Many were normal nice people, but some were rather extreme in nature.

Quote

Prove it is ridiculous. How many years and investigations have you done. Have you aquired any evidence in doing so? I have and I am not about to mail you bunch of videos and photos at my expense. Go out and get your own. I collected much of it, while trying to prove it was false. I used to be very skeptical. I have been doing this shit for well over 10 years. How long have you?

Just because you deny evidence doesn't make it invalid. By calling the claims ridiculous you echo of an age old mentality that has always been flipped on its ass through out history. Your words reveal how open minded you really are. I never said you called anyone a retard, it was a term to describe gullible and or stupid people. There was an actual research project called the stupidity hypothesis and it is what I was speaking of. The research found that smart and successful people were prone to beliefs in things that the working class and less intelligent thought were total garbage. It indicates that narrow mindedness is a crutch. I am also not saying I am super smart or anything. That is what the results were. I found that study very interesting and relevant in much of the work I do.

No such thing as a mystery. A mystery is only an illusion. It is unexplained for a reason. To create the mystery.

This is a totally false wild claim, generalization and an assumption. I personally know no atheist that puts money above family, environment, happiness and other such important thing. And yes I know many atheists, as we are a small group we tend to seek each other out.

I have a philosophy not a belief system. And it would take a long time to explain.

Now this is just ignorant. Your accusation is dangerous and without some evidence for this claim it is a little stupid.

Umm no, prove it is not ridiculous because claims outside everyday experience deserve more scrutiny than the opposite. I am 30, so my investigation has gone on for 30 years. Life is an experiment. Have I sought out these supernatural events, no I have not. I cant think of any reason to take your claims as fact because they are outside of my experience and I don't know you so you have no credibility with me.

Oh come on now. I said I take my findings from my own research. Most of the people I interviewed and talked to that proclaimed themselves atheist answered a bunch of questions I had listed. As I said it's my research and findings. Don't trash my shit just cause you don't think its credible. I encourage you to do the same study. I would be very interested in the results. I don't live where you live so I have to base my findings on the environment I live. I play in a death metal band and know lots of atheists. When asked the same questions I received similar answers.

Quote

How much does money affect these things though? And you can't deny people buying happiness. It happens all the time.

Quote

A belief system is the application of a philosophy in daily life. Splitting hairs really. I got time and I am not gonna try to cut you down. I debate yes, but I respect the beliefs of others. I like to discuss philosophy and religion.

Quote
Now this is just ignorant. Your accusation is dangerous and without some evidence for this claim it is a little stupid.

Again you are trashing the research I have done. I based this opinion on my own findings. If you want actual numbers I can put the info up. All you will find is that it supports what I am saying. If you still disagree then you are saying I am a shit researcher, liar or scammer of some type, and that is a wild bullshit assumption. I take my work seriously and go about in a very professional manner. The only way to attack what I say is with another study that proves it wrong. I can then refine my opinion if it was wrong. That is called learning and I have done that process many times. I have no problem admitting I am wrong if there is credible evidence to back it up. You will never have the proof you need to believe by sitting around. Seek and ye shall find.

Quote
I don't know you so you have no credibility with me.

Fair enough. The opposite is true. Why should I take what you say seriously?

Quote
Have I sought out these supernatural events, no I have not.

Although sometimes very intense, there can be really cool shit to see. Ever see a 300 pound gorilla of a man piss his pants and run from a cold wind that whipped him in the face? Priceless. You really have to experience it first hand. I have encountered some strange fuckin shit over the years.

I live in Alberta and people here are heavily into money. It is what it is. Sorry if you guys have a hard time believing it. Atheists I interviewed placed alot of importance on many. Some agreed with my analogy that it could be considered their form of a god. And most would kill if the price was right. I interviewed christians and mormons who also said they would kill if the price was right, so the study is just that, a study. As I said, I am not saying every last atheist or anything, but the ones in the area where I live gave me the findings I posted. Like I said I could post the stats, but it isn't gonna radically change anyone's mind about it.

In regards to science, those I polled responded that science was how humans evolved. They didn't really put the same emphasis on science as they did on money. Alberta is now about oil and money and greed. It shows.

All statistical information is biased to location, but it doesn't mean it is less credible. A national poll would be the best method. I try to gather shit when my band tours and I have found the same and similar ideologies in different cities across Canada. It is by no means extensive but it indicates that it is not entirely local to my area. If I had the time and money I would travel around doing surveys and interviews for my research and studies. Also other people I know who do similar research have found similar trends in their areas. Maybe it is just the people we meet, but it made a strong point for me. It kinda showed that god can take on many forms whether the person is religious or not.

Would you kill someone for money? 73% Yes
$0-500 2%
$500-1000  7%
$1000-10000 30%
$10000-100000 50%
$100000-1000000 11%

Most important thing in life or purpose?
Well being 60%
(family was part of well being)
Derived from money?
Yes 69%

Most interviewed thought that a poor family cannot really be happy, just deny reality of their situation.

Money can fix everything easily?
Yes 60%
No 20%
Sometimes or Maybe 20%

What makes the world go around?
Money/Economy 80%
Love 6%
Scientific law 6%
Who cares 8%

I found out beliefs as it was one of the first poll questions. I then categorized findings based on belief. Others who did the same polling shared their own info. The general theme was the same but not as extreme as my locale.

I forgot to bring this up before but you can't clump all atheists together just as you can't clump all religious people together. Just because one atheist says or believes in something doesn't mean that the rest do. If I go to Saudi Arabia and take a survey to see if premarital sex should be punished and find results that they say it should and they are religous, I can't say that most religous people think that premarital sex should be punishable. You will get the same variety of Atheists as you will people that believe in religion so you can't say think or act the same.

Ok are these all atheist? And how many people did you poll. Did you select people based on demographics? How many of these people realy thought the question through and saying you would do something and doing it are two completely different things.

This is not taking into account that people are brainwashed into thinking money is the most important thing. Not only that, what happens if you do not have money living in the Americas? You live on the street so of course one could make a black and white connection between money and happiness. Maybe you should ask people if they would be happier if money were of no value and everyone just got to do what they wanted. Most people don't know any other way and if they did they were taught it in theory and that those theories are bad because we live in a capitalist society where money controls every thing from school to churches right down to getting a kidney transplant.

Quote
Most interviewed thought that a poor family cannot really be happy, just deny reality of their situation.

Money can fix everything easily?
Yes 60%
No 20%
Sometimes or Maybe 20%

Money can fix most problems thats because it is the most important thing in a greedy economic structure. So if you need food you need money, or you will probably go hungry. Of course one could argue that you could just grow it but on what land and how would you purchase it.

Quote
What makes the world go around?
Money/Economy 80%
Love 6%
Scientific law 6%
Who cares 8%

This does not make money important or not to the individual answering the question. It only states that people have a perception of the world, and most people share that perception. Fuck I share that view and money is not the most important thing to me.

Of course in arguing your numbers I am saying they are true hypothetically. Statistics can say what you want them to.

I polled as many that would allow which was about 500 people. They came from different areas.  Firends who did similar studies polled much more as they live in larger cities or major cities. And yes the numbers quoteed were from people who claimed ot be atheists. I'm sorry if the figures don't please you, but it was what i found. As for whether they thought it through or not, from what I could tell, most gave serious consideration, but some were quick to answer.

I think it proves that quite a few have been brainwashed into thinking money is a very important thing. Alot said they can't think of a world without money or money driven economy. Alot of Mormons considered money to be pretty important too. Doesn't mean all of em do, but it does say something. When people share belief systems thought becomes generalized. I want to start doing surveys and stuff on the net as it allows much more opinion and say, but it would be a large job for one guy to take up. I like doing my research and nothing you guys say will stop me from doing it, or sharing my findings. Seriously, just ask a hundred people on the street a few questions and see what you find out. Like I said I would be very interested in the findings. The more the merrier.

No one is telling you to not continue with your research but you can't say that Atheists worship money because that is flawed logic. If I said all religous people believed in the Abrahamic god I would be yelled at by the Buddist, Hindus, etc. because that would be a false generalization.

What are the results of Christians, Muslims, etc? Are they any different from atheists?

Yes, but I can see it is pointless sharing anything else. Not one of you listed any source of reference that would conflict my findings other than a stale and lame, "I'm an atheist and I'm not like that, so all atheists are like me." Now that is a gross generalization. If you even asked 50 people who claimed themselves atheist, I might actually consider the arguments. I like open minded people or people who back their shit up. Character attacks are lame. Calling me a know it all because I do research and use my findings for my opinion is in no way open minded and in no way discredits my work. Just cause you don't like what I say, doesn't mean it has no value. Anyway you guys enjoy your mysteries and shit.

If you threw all the scrabble letters on the floor an infinite number of times they may say "rev is a know it all" it might take a million times and it might take one but the odds are there. So too are the odds that you got a batch of bad atheists. I know 7 atheists and 100% of them are all about family and compassion. There is my research and it refutes yours.

Rev you are the one who came and made this thread with a short little hall mark card statement with no references posted or any thing. You then make a insulting little post about how atheist are greedy people and so you don't have to post proof you make up your own survey, by the way you never asked an atheist if they worshiped money you just asked them questions involving money. You are the one claiming to have it all figured out which is apparent yet you claim that atheist are taking on this assholic behavior, you are the one that have been making blatant blanket statements. You never listed source or reference your self you get out of this by claiming you did the survey. Then you say people don't have any proof that disproves your statement, the trick to that is you cant prove a negative, so you say that to make the disagreer sound like an asshole. You seem like a real dick so far Rev. By the way i am not an atheist i just had to point out how much of a dick you are being, you argue like a conservative.

One, I'm not even an atheist.
Two, I know a good amount of atheists (double digits), who are from diverse backgrounds and are all good people that do not worship money. I don't even know of an atheist that worships money in any way.

The only thing I can think of is that a certain personality type leads people to become atheists, and that flaws the study. It isn't so much the fact that I disagree with the study as the fact that you are using an invalid argument.

People who worship money tend to be Atheists.
Atheists tend to worship money.

That is flawed logic. I would agree with the first statement because that is what your study concluded but the second statement is flawed.

Cats tend to be furry.
Furry animals tend to be cats.

Basketball players tend to be tall.
Tall people tend to be basketball players.

See how that logic is flawed?

Mobile-friendly version Immortal Technique Biography

Born Felipe Andres Coronel on the 19th of February 1978, hip-hop artist Immortal Technique is a controversial figure in the U.S. His songs speak of the need for social justice and equality among all races, with special emphasis on the people of color or Latin Americans, but they also cover topics such as the fight against unfair imprisonments or militarism and many others.

His biography is hence quite intriguing, to say the least, and, just like the best anti aging cream is probably going to be lingering over the shelves of all cosmetic stores for many years to come, Immortal Technique’s songs are going to remain hot, fresh and sought after for a really long time. Due to the fact they speak about topics which are to be considered taboos, his lyrics continue to be listened to with the exterior shutters down in most homes.

Immortal technique was born in Peru, in El Hospital Militar de Lima; several years later, his family moved to America in order to escape the harsh living conditions in Peru. Even though they could not afford to buy any terrain a vendre there, they managed to move to Harlem in the ‘80s. Immortal Technique went to Hunter High School, but just like a hip replacement recall is never of good omen, his grades and behavior weren’t any good during high school either. He was the school bully, he harassed other students and he was not afraid to get involved in scandals with drug dealers from around the area. And while his interactions with these drug dealers were not as numerous as used cars in Phoenix are, they still managed to leave an ugly mark on his biography.

Plus, his graffiti did not actually resemble any Dreamweaver templates, but he was famous for his controversial acts of vandalism. His violence against others almost got him expelled in 1996, but he somehow managed to finish high school and even attend college at Pennsylvania State University. This time, his college experience only lasted for two years; he was then charged and convicted and he was eventually imprisoned in Pennsylvania.

In prison, just like a SEO San Antonio company would focus on booting a web site’s ranking, Immortal Technique also focused on boosting his own social ranking. He began studying the policy of religious history, and, finding the inspiration he needed, he began putting his thoughts in lyrics. In 1999 he was paroled and, even though he was first considered some sort of Agen Bola, as no one had heard of him at first, he began to attend freestyle battles he started winning.

From there on, his career started to bloom, as he gave birth to albums such as “Revolutionary Vol 1” in 2002, “Revolutionary Vol 2” in 2004 and “Revolutionary Vol 3” in 2008. He also became a political activist and started to sing about political injustice (check out his opinion on the imprisonment of Mumia Abu-Jamal or the songs on George W. Bush). Despite of the fact that his albums might not have gotten the type of positive reviews African mango reviews are usually comprised of, this has not stopped him from getting involved in future projects, including an important film collaboration. He might not approve the work of the CNA Financial Corporation, but we all need to eat, right?

What a painstaking process! Its a good thing I don't have to take a personality test after the whole process. I'm sure I'd have some pretty skewed results. After finally settling down and buying a new Audi A4, I found out I had a bigger problem on my hands. Where am I gonna park the car during winter? I decided I had to contact a local contractor and get remodeling estimates to redo our garage which had been having problems with leaks all last winter. After getting some rather expensive estimates back from contractors our family finally decided to move to a different area of New York, we took a look at jamestown ny homes which was recommended by a close friend of mine. Have you ever just had that feeling after looking at a town? You just knew it was the one. Well thankfully we had a lot of wonderful homes to look at that were priced perfectly. We eventually decided to go with a home with a nice garage for the new car, a gym witih a full pull up bar, and best of all my wife could stop taking her proactol and finally begin to use our at home gym!

The History and Growth of Rap Music

If you are a music enthusiast, then it is very likely that you have come across a genre of music called rap music. Rap music is area that has very clear distinguishing features most notably the rapid and rhythmic chanting of the lyrics perfectly timed to the beat and musical accompaniment that forms the base of the song. Rap music traces its roots to the development of the hiphop subculture which predominantly carries four complementary musical styles namely: rapping, dancing and in particular break dancing, scratching or more popularity known as DJing, and graffiti writing which others dub as vandalism. Another sub-element of this genre is beat-boxing which also features heavily in the repertoire of many rap artists. If you thought this was an easy musical genre to characterize, then you were poorly informed: consider, many research papers and doctoral dissertations have been written on the subject of rap music and its accompanying stylistic elements.

The history of rap music, or hip-hop music, is composed of a series of rapid development phases that have all culminated in the popular rap versions of today. Before rap music took off in the 1990s, it was predominantly referred to as disco rap in the late 1970s. The three rappers who had a hand in coining the term “rap music” were DJ Hollywood, Lovebug Starski, and Keith Cowboy, the last one being officially credited with the term hip-hop. Rap music original began with improvisations and freestyle singing to add an element of unpredictability to the songs in parties and other gatherings. Even in the 1960s to 1970s, the initial elements of rap music where already sown in urban subcultures particularly in New York City where adhoc performances in the streets led to a coalescing of influences in the wake of the Civil Rights era. Like the iPhone 5 release date, it had a slow and steady rise building into an explosion of creativity and style that has made it into what it has become today.

At this very early stage of rap development, it was particularly tied to emcee-ing more than it was associated to any specific song. It predominantly tied songs together as an adlib in between. It was born out of the creative inputs of DJs who had to work with self-imposed musical constraints such as the 4/4 time beat and sampling or sequencing sections of other songs to create a smooth flow of uninterrupted musical stimuli. These were eventually married with electronic equipment such as drums and synthesizers, and ultimate melodies to give it that bite and identity. In a sense, rap music artists were basically like a video game designer who had to figure out each artistic component at every turn until it developed into a more coherent musical genre that became the rap music we know today.

The first recorded version of rap music came alive in the early 1980s when DJs decided to make records out of their freestyle MCing. This necessitated the documentation of song lyrics so they do not change during each and every rendition. The age of the stromanbieter for rap music was gone paving the way for more organized chaos. Still, the freestyle and improvisation element remained a part of many DJ interludes as the song goes through certain sections that did not require too much rap singing.

Likewise, as a consequence of the hip-hop records, the influence of rap began to spread faster than ever before. Artists no longer had to travel far to get their music heard. Now, records from New York City and Philadelphia can be reproduced and transported to cities like Los Angeles, New Orleans, Dallas, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Seattle among others for people to appreciate and enjoy. This was primarily the reason for rap music’s rapid growth. Like Christmas mini lights, cities formed the nodes through which rap music would spread to other parts of the country. From small beginnings to grand achievements, the birth certificate translation to true stardom took a matter of years for rap music to be realized. Since then, its take-off and rise has been meteoric.

In this regard, it is almost impossible to talk about rap music but not discuss the golden age of rap. This was the era from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s when rap grew at an astounding rate fueled by the creative contributions of many artists from all over the continental United States and in many parts of the world. The primary trait of the Golden Age or Rap was that it was an almost unbroken wave of transformative music with every single pushing the boundaries of the genre. From this age and in the succeeding Gansta Rap age came names like Run-D.M.C., Dr. Dre, Ice T, MC Hammer, The Wu-tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, and The Notorious B.I.G. among others. The list of names can virtually fill a Sharepoint Hive without any problems.

According to social studies published in 2005, teenagers and children are more familiar with hip-hop and rap music more than any other musical genre. Up to 65% of all children from ages 8 to 18 hear hip-hop music on a daily basis, making it their routinary keratin hair treatment session, almost to the point that it has become an intrinsic part of their lives. With the diversification of the genre to include the more stylish R&B or rhythm and blues, it is not difficult to explain how rap music has continued to pervade radio station, TV and movie song line-ups. The marriage of rap and jazz which paved the way for R&B is itself a phenomenon that warrants all sorts of social analysis.

And with its very strong following, it is safe to say that rap music is here to stay. Years from now, when you open your TV on a bright Saturday morning, there’s a big chance you would be watching the next stage in the evolution of rap music, and there’s an even better chance you would be dancing or singing to that tune.
