Let me help you out here:^^^^

This is a serious issue with dire consequences, it can affect forums users as well.  It's amazing how these laws can pass with so much support and approval and little resistance from the people.

RMX, isn't this just COINTELPRO version. 2.0? I'm quite certain this still exists today. The foreign CIA variant has been running amok ever since the cold war.

I reckon many dissident groups, even progressive colour groups, like Black Panther, Chicano, 'radical' Feminists groups, Pine-Ridged based movements, and Vice Lords saw leading members eliminated by the FBI.

Why? Because they clothed and healed marginalized folks. To introduce self-autonomy. This may be similar to KKK, and Nazi Party, who were attempting to pull off a coup d'etat and wipe out the current elites. The black, brown, red, and feminist movements humanitarian efforts must have been dangerous, you know.

It's just as Jesus would tell the marginalized: obey your master, and more so if Christian. These racist and sexist movements were clearly out of line with their humanitarian efforts.  That doesn't apply to the attention-seeking Alex Jones and friends, who seem to develop an erection when referring to the free past. The same one where chaining up a black man, gunning down a native, and keeping a women straight by assaulting her in public was the epitome of justice and freedom.

Oh man, I too, hunger for that utopia to reappear.

No, COINTELPRO worked and still does work in a covert manner with the aim of destabilizing organizations and movements thru diverse, dubious, and questionable means, it really wasn't focused on law enforcement.  (COINTELPRO often used illegal (outside of the law) means to achieve it goals)

This right here is overt, proposed legislation to achieve similar goals but much more broader in its range.   Under this act, someone who is "pushing" for change can be systematically "voided" by legal means and it will be hard to put up a defense because they law is clearly on the side of the state. (Not that laws havent been designed that way before but this is straight up "Shut the Fuck UP or go to Jail type shit" )

It also affects internet users on forums which promote social change and justice so I doubt it will affect us (j/k) and from what I have gathered this legislation also potentially includes "thought-crimes"  WTF is that??!!

Its a different animal altogether, IMO.

Actually, COINTELPRO also had the law on its side. FBI is given Legal authority to initiate their operations:

Quote
Title 28 - Section 553

The Attorney General may appoint officials—
(1) to detect and prosecute crimes against the United States;
(2) to assist in the protection of the person of the President; and [1]
(3) to assist in the protection of the person of the Attorney General.[2]
(4) to conduct such other investigations regarding official matters under the control of the Department of Justice and the Department of State as may be directed by the Attorney General.
This section does not limit the authority of departments and agencies to investigate crimes against the United States when investigative jurisdiction has been assigned by law to such departments and agencies.
Do we need to address the question: why do we have a state? In sum, states protect the minority elite from the majority. US, being a state, operates in the same manner. Take that into account.

Quote

Well COINTELPRO used similar methods. The whole legal process was inaccessible to those [or by their love ones] detained or eliminated by FBI. It was a black ops programme that was highly legal. That is why despite declassification, no compensation was given.

To the state, it was highly necessary and hence it is being observed different from this act. Let's be honest here, you were a potential target well before this act.

Quote

Thought crimes were considered by COINTELPRO as well. The difference is that the internet was never widely used at that time. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if those who pressed progressive views through university networks in the 60s and 70s were targeted as well. They were a minority, though, but a dangerous section of the intellectual class.

COINTEL did not have a specific target. Rather they targeted anything that opposed the setup of the minority elite, who happen to be predominantly white males.

That is why SCLC = KKK under the eyes of COINTELPRO.

Point being, there is a significant number belonging to the white majority, who do not like the current affairs today. We have those more concerned with white male issues (i.e. Alex Jones, Ron Paul) to those who are genuinely concerned with the socio-economic disparity. That is why these laws are being enacted.

You being black, meant that you were always seen as guilty, first and innocent, last. That is why it affects you less, hell that does not stop cases like Mumia Abu-Jamal. Yes, they are "illegal", but we don't see legal institutions taking that into account. The current developments tell us, legal institutions was never on his side.

In contrast, for whites, that is not the case. That is why laws have to be enacted. In other words, white Americans are converging with blacks, browns and red people.  Negative development, yes, but that can be explained thanks to Alex Jones et al, who like their fathers played a significant role in taking everything and passing over the crumbs to the marginalized.

Now they benefit too...

Well if you insist and it makes you happier to call it the same thing with a different name then by all means go ahead.   However for the record, I disagree with the comparison.   However.....

I really appreciate your history analysis and comparison but let's make this thread and topic easier to chew and swallow for those who are not so familiar with COINTELPRO and its perverse past ( I think there is another thread on that elsewhere) and lets stay focused on what is occuring NOW under the name of this proposed legislation.

I also appreciate you highlighting how these METHODS have impacted men of color more so than any other group but IMO this isn't about black or white or whatever, it isnt about me and how it affects those who share similar phenes, etc.,  It is about some fucked up legislation being passed as we speak that will affect everyone living in the US regardless of their outer appearance.

I think the sad fact is you have to wait. I assume you are a fellow Amerikan so I will post accordingly. It seems sadly that there need to be more starving people, there needs to be more people with nothing to lose. I usually attend protests and get reminded often of how futile they really are. If you were to start some revolt you would not have the support of the rest of America and would be treated like a branch Dividian in a Waco compound. The best you can do is minimize your involvement in the system, educate people and wait until the middle class is forced to sell their lazy boys and Escalades.

People like Ron Paul are redundant, period. He clearly promotes the interest of the privileged classes and with his great language command et al, uber-stud. This guy serves no purpose to marginalized at all. He'd just offering horse shit as something palatable.

So what do we do? We can do something our ancestors did all the time. Yes, most humans are mixed, multicultural et al, but regardless, our hybrid ancestors always moved toward homogeneity. The prerequisite for that is that all groups had institutional support. When those conditions aren't met: disparity will always exist as we see in Indo-Persia which then developed into the caste system.

For real change sustaining one's own community is requisite. In other words, the marginalized need to be a lot more selfish. The interest of one's own comes before others. In this current setup, where the disparity is so racist, its obvious that the liberal stance is downright foolish. That is why folks I've talked to, from the hardest places in the world and they really don't give a fuck. And note, I had to act liberal, which isn't too hard, by the way.

The interests of the mobile privileged class are what's being shafted. Hell, Malcolm X - who is far more of a nationalist than I - would be doing anything, but display worry. Honestly, I see too much hypocrisy. Nationalism is accepted by the mainstream in a highly unadulterated manner and I see it in the classroom, festivals, language ("rep yo set"), politics, sports, etc. This shit is natural. No self-control required. The biggest players are the privileged, by the way.

And last, don't assume that I'm just arguing. I actually reinforce my socio-economic hypothesis. Ron Paul does not convince anyone, but angry white men. I am speaking in line with reality: he is dismissed. The alternative options involves attaining progress at all costs, and the majority, regardless of creed, gender, religion, sexuality are choosing to specialize their operations and diverge from white institutions. There are still occasional nuances, but regardless, all natural.

PS: Immortal Technique is more neutral than the AA and Latino intellectuals in the academia, who are incomparable to the folks on the battlefield.

PPS: Democracy and socialism won't arrive if we accept white male parasitism.

What? RMX, it is on topic. This development is irrelevant. Ron Paul or not, his audience created him not vice versa, and that is why they are crying help. I'm going to have some folks from Irvine (CA), Jersey, Manhattan, etc and hear the same tunes: Irrelevant.

Second, I won't start a Ron Paul thread, because he is obsolete. Now I wonder how anyone can convince a large section of the non-white male population that this matter. This shit was done unofficially decades ago.

This is just the same old shit! You don't act to reintroduce the bullshit utopia of Alex Jones et al. No, you act, in order to promote your fitness and this won't be doing that. Now with the "angry [and moronic] white men" around, that should be easier.

Bob, read this title of the thread, how is this material irrelavent?  It impacts us all especially those who utilize the internet to express political dissent, i.e., us forums users and the like, etc.

Ron Paul and Alex Jones were injected into this thread by you which in this context (re:  the act being passed, etc) and all that the Act entails holds little or no relevance.  It appears that you are determined to talk about Paul and others hence I igonored your references to them previously.

True but now it's official or heading that way and hence the thread on it and it's present relevancy.

Being able to express oneself via digital mediums in a digital world does impact my fitness and others as well (race [defunct] issues are irrelevant at this juncture) and hence my concern, as well as that of others, about this Act.   Other issues, which I admit, can tie into this, do have their influence on this topic but is that the scope or aim of this thread?  Apparently for you it is, so go ahead and do what you want Bobby, I guess when a similar Act is passed in your neck of the woods, we can start a thread about that as well but discuss Ron Paul and AJ then too, right?

You are getting a bit cocky but its all good because I like the fact that you are atleast willing to look at issues from alternative views.

No it does not, because if the internet was widely used in the past, COINTELPRO could have easily targeted progressive-socialist groups on the internet.

AJ and RP are irrelevant. I do not start threads on obsolete individuals.

The point is that your ass could have been dragged off the computer long before this act arrived. I seriously don't know why this is any different. Is our perspectives really that different?

Quote

Cocky? Look at history. Those who exercised revolutions had to be highly calculating. The internet ban will attack the "angry White male" phenomena.

Why do I say that? Because they dominate most of these organization. Those outside this were always targeted decades ago. To be a feminist group that is humanitarian would be dealt with by the FBI as dangerous as a White supremacist groups attempting Coup d'etat. In fact the former, were classed as "Hate Groups" so that they could aid these groups and divert their actions into targeting the "enemies of the state".

Read "War at home, South" by Brian Glick for more information.

In the end, this is pointless. I'd really like to see someone outside the usual bunch reply. That is the major reason why I decided to post in this thread. GoS? Pierce? Wiseman?

I'm going to reply to your demand. But what the hell am I supposed to do? Oh well..I'll try rephrase everything:

Arguments:
1. The violence victimization act is irrelevant to marginalized in the US. Their promotion of progressive action is viewed as a direct threat to the state, even without this act. COINTEL et al.

2. This act was to angry white male, who, while largely unimpressive, are going to be a force who can potentially hijack the current power structure.

3. Development of convergence between socio-economic groups: white male and other groups.

I don't see why digression is required. This is no different to what I said in the past, and what GoS even suggested before I joined IT. The problem is getting priorities straight.

For that reason, I'd rather cluster closer to Noam Chomsky: who opposes Western interventionism at all costs, and Malcolm X: who believes respect is earned self-sustainability.

To cluster closer to petter events on the side of the privileged is not given a high priority, imo. X didn't do that. In fact the majority in their end will end up supporting white institutions once everything is back to "normal". That is how blacks were duped by poor European immigrations over-and-over again in the urban areas.

Refers to Malcolm X:

Quote
PLAYBOY: How do you reconcile your disavowal of hatred with the announcement you made last year that Allah had brought you "the good news" that 120 white Atlantans had just been killed in an air crash en route to America from Paris?

MALCOLM X: Sir, as I see the law of justice, it says as you sow, so shall you reap. The white man has reveled as the rope snapped black men’s necks. He has reveled around the lynching fire. It’s only right for the black man’s true God, Allah, to defend us−−and for us to be joyous because our God manifests his ability to inflict pain on our enemy. We Muslims believe that the white race, which is guilty of having oppressed and exploited and enslaved our people here in America, should and will be the victims of God’s divine wrath. All civilized societies in their courts of justice set a sentence of execution against those deemed to be enemies of society, such as murderers and kidnappers. The presence of 20,000,000 black people here in America is proof that Uncle Sam is guilty of kidnapping−−because we didn’t come here voluntarily on the Mayflower. And 400 years of lynchings condemn Uncle Sam as a murderer.
I don't believe in a God, but do you understand what this means?

He views this event as a punishment. I too, view the marginalization of the privileged white men as one as well. To maintain their privilege by supporting a power structure that in the end only supports a small minority is eventually going to harm him too. The return is decreasing, white folks are angry (due to low return) and now the corporate powers are going to use their power to contain them too.

Next:

Quote
X: The white man’s primary interest is not to elevate the thinking of black people, or to waken black people, or white people either. The white man is interested in the black man only to the extent that the black man is of use to him. The white man’s interest is to make money, to exploit.
In this case, I will your high affinity with those of the right-wing middle-class white males on the board. My aim will to prove that you are being duped by the same class who promotes Eurocentrism. In contrast, when you called GoS a "Tom" in the past, I felt lack of self-awareness on your end.

Analyzing the Uncle Tom Phenomena

First, one who prioritizes institutional changes directly meant to address the white majority over the present reality of socio-economic disparity clusters closer to a Tom: "Black man who is abjectly servile and deferential to Whites". This act will not affect blacks or the marginalized because progressive elements on their end were always classed as enemies of the state. I don't need a law to suggest that now just, because it is official. History is enough.

Second, the fitness of a black person today does not differ now that this act is enforced. It is a valid generalizable manner, which is standard in academic discourse. Maybe it'll differ with the black upper middle class, but generally it does not affect blacks. Now, if you haven't referred to statistics, blacks are far more likely to be negatively selected vs. their white counterpart anywhere. They don't need expensive brain-chip technology, because blacks concentration in decrepit urban centres is technology that can effectively control. Nothing more is required, because it not possible (nor required) to monitor everyone 24-7.

Third, to promote Afrocentrism does not make one less of a Tom. That's often more superficial than anything. Mugabe acted and spoke quite nationalistic, but was receiving honorary degrees in the West. Why? Because he in reality, destroyed the progressive elements of ZANU, and then implemented unadulterated capitalism. The high poverty and Western corporate involvement in Zimbabwe is not that surprising at all, my friend. This type of false cover was used for well, thousands of years.

Fourth, to be a secular nationalist that would mean promoting one's own interests. That should be accomplished without placing other groups at great risk (ala marginalized today), but also not involve surrendering one's own fitness. Black Africans are amongst the marginalized, whether male, women, homosexual, etc, and should not surrender fitness right now. I know many whites, who think in such a manner, and hence joining these mainly-white coalition to protect against reduction 'liberties' is a joke for the marginalized.

Results:

1. Opposing an at that does not address not the marginalized, does not produce self-sustainability.

2. Supporting the socio-economic class that sustains the power structure will minimize potential returns. Most overall return will be diverted back to the power structure.

3. Surrender fitness is ot possible to those sane. To protest about a Act or technologies that produce the same reality present in the marginalized is foolish.

Discussion: Applying conclusions to the present day

Do you think Palestinians would oppose military sanctions on Israel?

No, even though it'll drastically reduce the fitness of Israelis living within or the vicinity of Palestinian. The death toll would probably resemble Palestinians. That being said, most Palestinians would not want to see Israeli kids being killed. However to expect Palestinians not the exploit this opportunity is foolish.

How can the marginalized exploit this opportunity?

This act being implemented will mean that we'll see white males converging with those marginalized. That means the support of the white institutions of power will decrease. The white class will act too, since they are not used to a police state. What Blacks, Hispanics, etc, should do is act and secure their own security. That means mounting pressure for self-autonomy, to control - without white intervention  -public institutions that caters the marginalized.

It is by exploiting the opportunity at that time, reaction from white will be minimized and they will have to accept just compromise in order to secure long-term security. They will no longer have full control of all institutions of power. The marginalized will control their own. Institutions of power will be proportional to socio-economic groups and all will focus on maximizing the interest of their target group. Today white male fitness is extremely high, but that is usually not the case for others. That needs to change.

Cost-benefit Analysis:

In a nation where there exists multi-polar institutional where each socio-economic group are represented by each poles will result in direct revolution in all socio-economic sphere. The act itself, legal, is pointless, because rolling it back will not change the reality for the marginalized. They are not represented by the state. Representation by all socio-economic groups is closer to an egalitarian ideal vs. obsolete liberal alternative.

Second, it would prevent international militarism that we see today that primarily benefits the white male power. We need institutions to bridge with the marginalized in the third world. It is clear that US white power have bailed out their white brothers in Europe (i.e. Marshal Plan). The same could happen with institutions representing the marginalized. That is a change that will promote the interests of everyone, like Iraq and Palestinian.

Notes:

The liberal model, i.e. expecting Israel and Saudi Arabia to change is foolish. These nations setup are predominantly due to foreign intervention. I'll recap, what I (or Chomsky) suggested earlier, it is the West (represented by white powers) who arms their security forces creating a strong disparity between seculars and tyrants.

You posted a very long-winded, almost offensive post, for an issue you believe I have been duped by because the Act's aim is to quash marginalized "white men" who have more recently realized that their government, which is ran by an aloof callous elite, IS NOT serving them adequately.

You did not have to go that FAR in your writings to make me aware of this, in fact, you have underestimated my awareness (even intelligence) of this somewhat relevant point and overlooked my sincere, prinicipal motivation for screaming "Fire" even though the fire is not projected to head in the direction of my already burnt quasi-home and property.   (Do you understand the comparison here?)   I think you are suggesting that I ought to ignore this Act because I have already been stripped of any potential threat previously, i.e, via COINTELPRO et al.

While I agree that damage has already been done to people of color and certain progressive 'white' groups in the past that should not compel me to remain silent on further measures being implemented by the very same group of aloof, callous, governement officials in order to quash dissent, etc.   Here is my reasoning:   I fight for justice wherever I see an injustice.   Whether it affects me directly or not is of no concern to me.   You can call it a fault/flaw in my person but it is who I am as an individual.   I view it as an injustice to one is an injustice to all.   Your citation of Malcolm X is X at a time when he was adamantly against the "white man" no matter what, the dividing line (between people of color and white) in his mind was clear as day.  I can relate to Malcolm X in that I understand why he felt that way but I am also aware (and so did he become aware sometime later) that we are all one human family despite outer appearances.

Unfortunately, governement, whose ideal purpose is to serve 'the people' is only focused on fulfilling some biased, racist agenda of white supremacy via the exploitation of the vehicle of racism; cleverly pitting white against blacks, blacks against so-called latino, so on and so forth, you get my point.   I don't have to buy into that as you clearly have.    I see past that hence my promulgation for everyone who has ears to hear.   If it affects you white guy, go to your white neighbors and inform them. If it affects you Indian guy, go to your neighbors and tell them, if it affects you Redman go to you neighbors and tell them, my point is simply awareness, not OMG the sky is falling.  Skies do not fall but unjust and biased legislations gets passed in the middle of the night, something we should all be wary of even if I have additional forces and instances of attempts to quash my personal growth based on the color of my skin.

Does this Act affect me despite the fact other forces have been used against me in the past?  Of course it does.   Obviously, the prior, clearly pointed attempts have failed.  I am here posting, expressing dissent, am I not? The attempts of racial division have also failed.  I see past color despite my call for the need of Afri(not Afro)centrism studies and implementation.   Which leads me to my next point in response to you overload of well-worded bullshit.   Let me start here as I do have my priorities straight despite the unfounded accusation on you end which I will address in the order of my choosing, according to my priorities.

My call for Afri-centrism in studies is not to create a black african nationalistic state here or elsewhere.  It is based off the idea that as far as we know, to date, humanity as we know it, began in Africa.  If this is the case, which it surely is for now, then it is imperative and a prereq that all history studies of mankind begin at it's origins.  Everyone should study Africa, not to become a black nationalist but because a part of them can be found there.  Again, whether one chooses to acknowledge this or not, is not for me to decide.   I am just promulgating the information.  It doesn't change the fact that if you are human, you are also African by default.    This is the holistic thinking many who have an overdependence on the left-sided mode (analytic, segregative) of thinking fail to see.   The preference there seems to be it either is or it isn't but surely not both and/or all.   Your use of Mugabe in this instance is not applicable as his call was political in nature and nationalistic, I am not calling for either.  I simply want to make people aware of this obsecured truth about human origins; what they do with it is immaterial to me, what is going to happen will happen.   I know what I am doing with it, and it has empowered my life and relationships.    For the record, I am opposed to capitalism but will utilize it until a better system in introduced or forced onto society.   Sadly for Mugabe he failed to realize that you can not grow a truly African by Africans in essence state while wearing the coat of Eurocentric values and methods.   The results are tragic.

Your last statement is absurd and here is why.  While it is true that presently there may not be a need to chip folks in the hood as they are confined in the hood but in due time the technologies will be introduced.  Especially when there is so-called lawful legislation on the books to make it possible and probably mandatory.   And since blacks are more likely to be negatively selected, when they are selected and find themselves behind the walls of the racist jails, prisons, and hospitals (after being shot and beaten) they will have no choice as to whether they want to be in compliance or not it's the LAW and the law is always used more negatively against those of color.    I think this is clear.   What isn't is your attempt to disregard the obvious...but whatever.

And lastly because this post has gone on too long already.  If I called someone a Tom, I meant it.  However probably not for the reasons and strict logical rationale you are attaching to it.   This last point get little emphasis as it is of very little significance to me.  People will believe what the want to and there is nothing much I can do to change that.

Now if you wanna reply that is fine but I suggest you elaborate on the legislation, the substance of the legislation and not me.  I am of little significance.

Mobile-friendly version Immortal Technique Biography

Born Felipe Andres Coronel on the 19th of February 1978, hip-hop artist Immortal Technique is a controversial figure in the U.S. His songs speak of the need for social justice and equality among all races, with special emphasis on the people of color or Latin Americans, but they also cover topics such as the fight against unfair imprisonments or militarism and many others.

His biography is hence quite intriguing, to say the least, and, just like the best anti aging cream is probably going to be lingering over the shelves of all cosmetic stores for many years to come, Immortal Technique’s songs are going to remain hot, fresh and sought after for a really long time. Due to the fact they speak about topics which are to be considered taboos, his lyrics continue to be listened to with the exterior shutters down in most homes.

Immortal technique was born in Peru, in El Hospital Militar de Lima; several years later, his family moved to America in order to escape the harsh living conditions in Peru. Even though they could not afford to buy any terrain a vendre there, they managed to move to Harlem in the ‘80s. Immortal Technique went to Hunter High School, but just like a hip replacement recall is never of good omen, his grades and behavior weren’t any good during high school either. He was the school bully, he harassed other students and he was not afraid to get involved in scandals with drug dealers from around the area. And while his interactions with these drug dealers were not as numerous as used cars in Phoenix are, they still managed to leave an ugly mark on his biography.

Plus, his graffiti did not actually resemble any Dreamweaver templates, but he was famous for his controversial acts of vandalism. His violence against others almost got him expelled in 1996, but he somehow managed to finish high school and even attend college at Pennsylvania State University. This time, his college experience only lasted for two years; he was then charged and convicted and he was eventually imprisoned in Pennsylvania.

In prison, just like a SEO San Antonio company would focus on booting a web site’s ranking, Immortal Technique also focused on boosting his own social ranking. He began studying the policy of religious history, and, finding the inspiration he needed, he began putting his thoughts in lyrics. In 1999 he was paroled and, even though he was first considered some sort of Agen Bola, as no one had heard of him at first, he began to attend freestyle battles he started winning.

From there on, his career started to bloom, as he gave birth to albums such as “Revolutionary Vol 1” in 2002, “Revolutionary Vol 2” in 2004 and “Revolutionary Vol 3” in 2008. He also became a political activist and started to sing about political injustice (check out his opinion on the imprisonment of Mumia Abu-Jamal or the songs on George W. Bush). Despite of the fact that his albums might not have gotten the type of positive reviews African mango reviews are usually comprised of, this has not stopped him from getting involved in future projects, including an important film collaboration. He might not approve the work of the CNA Financial Corporation, but we all need to eat, right?

Recently I've been in the market for used cars. Which I'm sure many of you know how long that process can take. Having to go from dealer to dealer and look at one car after another. What a painstaking process! Its a good thing I don't have to take a personality test after the whole process. I'm sure I'd have some pretty skewed results. After finally settling down and buying a new Audi A4, I found out I had a bigger problem on my hands. Where am I gonna park the car during winter? I decided I had to contact a local contractor and get remodeling estimates to redo our garage which had been having problems with leaks all last winter. After getting some rather expensive estimates back from contractors our family finally decided to move to a different area of New York, we took a look at jamestown ny homes which was recommended by a close friend of mine. Have you ever just had that feeling after looking at a town? You just knew it was the one. Well thankfully we had a lot of wonderful homes to look at that were priced perfectly. We eventually decided to go with a home with a nice garage for the new car, a gym witih a full pull up bar, and best of all my wife could stop taking her proactol and finally begin to use our at home gym!

If during your trip you make it out to England be sure to say "Hi!" to our friends that is a wedding photographer york. They do an exceptional job and we recommend them to everyone that we know!
When overlooking your home don't forget the key essentials to tie in the whole room and complete it altogether, such as a POS software to manage your point of sale units. Auction sites provide a medium to determine market value of homes in the are that you are looking at. The History and Growth of Rap Music

If you are a music enthusiast, then it is very likely that you have come across a genre of music called rap music. Rap music is area that has very clear distinguishing features most notably the rapid and rhythmic chanting of the lyrics perfectly timed to the beat and musical accompaniment that forms the base of the song. Rap music traces its roots to the development of the hiphop subculture which predominantly carries four complementary musical styles namely: rapping, dancing and in particular break dancing, scratching or more popularity known as DJing, and graffiti writing which others dub as vandalism. Another sub-element of this genre is beat-boxing which also features heavily in the repertoire of many rap artists. If you thought this was an easy musical genre to characterize, then you were poorly informed: consider, many research papers and doctoral dissertations have been written on the subject of rap music and its accompanying stylistic elements.

The history of rap music, or hip-hop music, is composed of a series of rapid development phases that have all culminated in the popular rap versions of today. Before rap music took off in the 1990s, it was predominantly referred to as disco rap in the late 1970s. The three rappers who had a hand in coining the term “rap music” were DJ Hollywood, Lovebug Starski, and Keith Cowboy, the last one being officially credited with the term hip-hop. Rap music original began with improvisations and freestyle singing to add an element of unpredictability to the songs in parties and other gatherings. Even in the 1960s to 1970s, the initial elements of rap music where already sown in urban subcultures particularly in New York City where adhoc performances in the streets led to a coalescing of influences in the wake of the Civil Rights era. Like the iPhone 5 release date, it had a slow and steady rise building into an explosion of creativity and style that has made it into what it has become today.

At this very early stage of rap development, it was particularly tied to emcee-ing more than it was associated to any specific song. It predominantly tied songs together as an adlib in between. It was born out of the creative inputs of DJs who had to work with self-imposed musical constraints such as the 4/4 time beat and sampling or sequencing sections of other songs to create a smooth flow of uninterrupted musical stimuli. These were eventually married with electronic equipment such as drums and synthesizers, and ultimate melodies to give it that bite and identity. In a sense, rap music artists were basically like a video game designer who had to figure out each artistic component at every turn until it developed into a more coherent musical genre that became the rap music we know today.

The first recorded version of rap music came alive in the early 1980s when DJs decided to make records out of their freestyle MCing. This necessitated the documentation of song lyrics so they do not change during each and every rendition. The age of the stromanbieter for rap music was gone paving the way for more organized chaos. Still, the freestyle and improvisation element remained a part of many DJ interludes as the song goes through certain sections that did not require too much rap singing.

Likewise, as a consequence of the hip-hop records, the influence of rap began to spread faster than ever before. Artists no longer had to travel far to get their music heard. Now, records from New York City and Philadelphia can be reproduced and transported to cities like Los Angeles, New Orleans, Dallas, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Seattle among others for people to appreciate and enjoy. This was primarily the reason for rap music’s rapid growth. Like Christmas mini lights, cities formed the nodes through which rap music would spread to other parts of the country. From small beginnings to grand achievements, the birth certificate translation to true stardom took a matter of years for rap music to be realized. Since then, its take-off and rise has been meteoric.

In this regard, it is almost impossible to talk about rap music but not discuss the golden age of rap. This was the era from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s when rap grew at an astounding rate fueled by the creative contributions of many artists from all over the continental United States and in many parts of the world. The primary trait of the Golden Age or Rap was that it was an almost unbroken wave of transformative music with every single pushing the boundaries of the genre. From this age and in the succeeding Gansta Rap age came names like Run-D.M.C., Dr. Dre, Ice T, MC Hammer, The Wu-tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, and The Notorious B.I.G. among others. The list of names can virtually fill a Sharepoint Hive without any problems.

According to social studies published in 2005, teenagers and children are more familiar with hip-hop and rap music more than any other musical genre. Up to 65% of all children from ages 8 to 18 hear hip-hop music on a daily basis, making it their routinary keratin hair treatment session, almost to the point that it has become an intrinsic part of their lives. With the diversification of the genre to include the more stylish R&B or rhythm and blues, it is not difficult to explain how rap music has continued to pervade radio station, TV and movie song line-ups. The marriage of rap and jazz which paved the way for R&B is itself a phenomenon that warrants all sorts of social analysis.

And with its very strong following, it is safe to say that rap music is here to stay. Years from now, when you open your TV on a bright Saturday morning, there’s a big chance you would be watching the next stage in the evolution of rap music, and there’s an even better chance you would be dancing or singing to that tune.

Immortal Technique Rapper Biography

Immortal technique is the stage name for which rapper Felipe Andres Coronel is popularly known. His lyrics characterized by its unique mixture of socialist commentary of social class hierarchy, religion, wealth, poverty to contemporary issues touching on governmental and institutional racism. Perhaps you may have come across information about this popular icon as you undertake research for that mba online, or for whatever course you are undertaking, be it bachelors in criminal justice, performing arts degree, governance systems, online nurse practitioner programs, history, or any other course for which you have to do online research.

The rapper was born on the 19th day of February 1978 in Lima, Peru. During the internal conflicts that took place in their country at the time, his parents migrated to Harlem, New York. Probably, in the process of migration to the country, they may have used boats at least once in the journey. Like many American teenagers, the rapper was engaged in various acts against the law that led to his arrest several times, which in one his public interviews admitted that they were selfish and at best childish acts. After completing his incarceration terms, he took up a political science course in a bid to mend his seemingly torn life, while living with his father.

After completing his studies, he was not lucky enough to secure a job in his field of study owing to the unemployment situation prevailing in the entire United States. Like many American fresh graduates who take up it jobs, nursing jobs, waiter and nursing jobs among many other common jobs that may not necessarily need a specialist, he took up a working in a restaurant to earn a buck from which he could live on.

Through his deep interest in championing for equality between the elite and the under privileged in society, and being not a Mesothelioma Lawyer, the rapper begun his music career basing his lyrics on such issues as injustice, exploitation and mistreatment of the poor. This is captured clearly in his desire to keep control over his production, since he strongly believes that in the music industry, the producers normally make a large profit while the artist for who credit belongs, normally end ups earning peanut amounts at the end of the day.

His popular sediments are captured in his albums that include the revolutionary, both volume one and two, and the 3rd world and the middle passage album. the rapper is increasingly involved in prison visits and working with migrant rights activists, though which he speaks to youths and the unprivileged in the society trazer amor de volta. His investments are largely in farmland in Latin America, which like soweto properties is an unpopular investment option for many celebrity figures. His advice to the youth is not much on taking up an aacsb online mba or an online criminal justice degree, but rather it is based on exploiting ones talents and living soberly within the law.
